Touch Guitars

For some considerable time, the only touch guitar companies I knew of were Warr and Stick Enterprises (of Chapman Stick fame.) So, fiddling around with Google today, I encountered some companies of interest. The two companies I can recall are Bunker and Mobius Megatar (Megatar, what a dumb name!) Bunker is the first company to make touch guitars, in fact, Touch Guitar is a trademark of theirs. Their touch guitars have two necks, one standard guitar, one four string bass, made out of the same piece of wood, and joined together at the head, which really jacks up the price; in fact, these are the most expensive touch guitars available! However, if you are looking for a unique instrument with a vintage vibed sound, this is the way to go.

Mobius Megatar makes the most affordable touch guitars on the market today. They all have VOX Phantom inspired bodies, concentric vol/tone pots for each side, and stereo capability, though through a single jack, so a special cable is needed. They are not as annoyingly bright as Chapman sticks, and claim to be very versatile; thus they shall be my weapon of choice; screw the Chapman Stick.
