Zing!

Do you know what a Pulse Detonation Engine is? Look at this web site's archives. Anywhay, NASA has considered launching the next model of space shuttle from an airplane powered by pulse detonation engines…which would be a cool idea; launches would be more frequent due to shorter refuelling times and reduced enviromental considerations. It would also reduce the space shuttle Enterprise to something less than a footnote (quite possibly an endnote.)
I've always hoped that the year I reached grade twelve would be my last day in school, ever; but, unfortunately, 'tisnt. This has really screwed me up.

The Scream of the Shalka

The Scream of the Shalka is the latest adventure of the Doctor. It is animated, and features the new ninth Doctor. I find the acting a bit cheesy, the low quality has some annoying reverb, the new doctor is played by a guy who has never seen the show before, and they have mangled the title track quite well; still, it looks promising.

Doctor Who Update

The BBC is now considering *insert fanfare* Rowan Atkinson (of Mr. Bean and Black Adder fame) to be the next Doctor. I'm getting mixed feelings.

Oh, if you hav'nt heard, China sent a man on the moon, third nation to do so, I'm happy.

A Historical Moment!

Two days ago, those clowns at Microsoft announced The only good thing they have ever done in their entire period of existance—besides co-ceating the MSX computer and the BASIC programming language—they have put aside $5 000 000 USD as a bounty on any hacker anyone can find. This is a good thing—besides Microsoft's acting the most like a government agency it has ever. Everyone is sick to death with hackers and computer viruses, Microsoft seems vehement about it, and money talks, so, logically, this might work.

Gore Porn

Today in the Globe and Mail (Canada's national news paper), a woman submitted an article about "gore porn"–the over use of blood and gore in films to make them sell. She disliked the use of gore porn in recent films and said after a while, it gets tedious.
